Congratulations to the OBN Awards finalists
OBN has announced the finalists for its 8th annual awards, of which two finalists are based at the Park.
As the not-for-profit membership organisation supporting and bringing together the UK’s innovative life sciences companies, corporate partners and investors, the annual awards cover biotech, medtech, synthetic biology and digital health, and recognise achievements from emerging to late stage R&D companies as well as life sciences’ investors.
Oxford Nanopore, based at Edmund Cartwright House, is a finalist in the Best Established Medtech Company Award. The company was founded in 2005 to develop a disruptive, electronic, single molecule sensing system based on nanopore science. Today it employs 250 people and has satellite offices in Cambridge (UK), New York and Boston.
And Precision Ocular, based at the Magdalen Centre, is a finalist in the Best Start-up Medtech Company Award. It is a retinal therapeutics development company combining proprietary drug delivery and drug formulation technologies to optimise retinal therapeutics.
And JA Kemp, the patent and trade mark attorneys, that is based at Northbrook House, is sponsoring the Best Start-up Medtech Company Award.
The winning companies will be announced at the OBN Awards Ceremony on Thursday 6th October at the Oxford Town Hall.
