COVID-19 – TOSP Statement #4

In consideration of the ongoing COVID-19 epidemic, The Oxford Science Park is making some changes to the catering provision on site, as outlined below.

Other public health reminders and updates are also given.

Catering provision

The catering facilities on the park will be reduced in support of the Government’s advice to increase social distancing and due to the slow demand as occupiers work from home. As from TODAY, Wednesday 18 March, we will be for the foreseeable future closing all outlets with the exception of the Magdalen Coffee Bar, where we will be offering pre-packaged food such as sandwiches and salads, snacks, confectionery, bottled drinks and hot beverages between 7.30am – 3.00pm.

To remind you of other recent changes:

Cashless payment only, via card or YoYo, to reduce the chance of viral transmission via bank notes or coins;

Temporary suspension of the use of re-usable cups (although the standard discounts are still applicable)

Disinfecting wipes and spray remain available at the Magdalen Coffee Bar, and we have undertaken a deep clean of catering areas

Our catering department continues to adopt the very highest hygiene standards, with all staff having undergone relevant training.

Visitors on site

Most events and meetings on site have been cancelled or postponed, with many occupiers operating with skeleton teams. If, however, you are expecting visitors to the Park for essential business, we ask you to ascertain that they are fit to attend site, showing no signs of infection or needing to self-isolate as per the Government’s latest guidance (see below for some useful links).

To help with security, please let us know if your company has switched to a working from home/skeleton staff mode of working.

As before, please notify us promptly if someone in your company tests positive for COVID-19. You can email robert.horsfield@oxfordsp.com in the first instance, with details of how the company is dealing with the incident.

The Oxford Science Park team Some of our staff will be working from home in a planned fashion but we are all available via e mail if you have any issues.

The health and safety of our staff, occupiers and visitors remains The Oxford Science Park’s highest priority, and we thank you for your support.

Piers Scrimshaw-Wright,

Chief Executive
